Hiking the Seven Sisters Cliffs
A series of massive white chalk cliffs running along the English Channel, these are a sight you cannot miss. The Seven Sisters Cliffs is an amazing place for hikes and a great escape from the London city life.
Who would've known that these magical white peaks were only 90 minutes away from London. Lying between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne the Seven Sisters Cliffs form a beautiful part of the South Downs. These breath taking cliffs make for a perfect weekend day trip to escape the hustle and bustle of London. All you have to do is jump in your car and throw BN20 0AB into your GPS and you're there! As you arrive it is almost though you are transported into a totally different country. The contrast between here and the city is unbelievable as brick and white cut stone buildings are replaced with blue waters and white chalk cliffs.
You will be immediately be blown away by the spectacular cliffs and view of the open water. You won't be able to help but pull out your selfie stick and go wild! We used our GoPro and 3 way mount to snap this one.

The cliffs overlook the English Channel and are great for short and long walks. The distance of the walk you choose to do can vary from 1km to 8km and take anywhere from 15 minutes to 4 hours. For more information on the different walks you can visit this link here. We had a lovely stroll along the cliffs and had tea and snacks at the cafe situated just above the stone beach. Time passed quickly as we sipped on our coffees and enjoyed our Cornish pasties. As the cafe began to close up for the day we decided to continue taking in the beauty of the cliffs and take a nice little stroll on the stone beach that was just a minute walk down some stairs from the cafe. About a half kilometre down the beach we found some flat rocks to perch on and listened to the waves crash up against the shore and watched the sun get low in the sky. We highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to take a quick break and get lost in the beauty of the English country side!
